House Athletics Report

On Wednesday 18th May, the Grade 3 – 4 students in the morning and Grade 5 -6 students in the afternoon ventured to Casey Fields Athletics track for our school's first-ever House Athletics day.  Despite some ordinary weather predictions, we were greeted with a lovely sunny day which was fantastic. 

All students were able to select 2 events to participate in 100m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus and High Jump. Each session was also completed with a House Relay race. It was fantastic to see the students completing these events with smiles and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all those who received a ribbon for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placing and also to those students who gave every event their best efforts. I am sure it was an experience they all enjoyed and look forward to replicating in the coming years.

Our overall house winners for the day were Fire House so a massive congratulations to them. In 2nd place was Water House, 3rd was Earth House and 4th place was Air House.

A big thank you to all the teachers that ran the events to ensure the day went smoothly and to Mrs Hunter and Mr Hamilton who organized the event.
