As the rehearsals of Xanadu have continued this past month, we are very excited to announce our 2021 leaders of the show in conjunction with our external and staff production team:

Production Captains' Report

Over the past two weeks a lot has happened in the world of Xanadu! We are preparing for our sneak peak performance for Open Night on, Tuesday April 20. 

Alongside preparing for Open Night, we have been working hard to get wheels in motion for the show.   Thanks to our production team we have made some good progress on three more songs.  Under the guidance of our dance team, we have polished off a song conveniently named Dancin’, where two decades, 40’s under Danny’s Dream and 80’s following after Sonny’s Dream, battle one another to decide which is superior. 

Another song that has been worked on recently is Evil Woman, a song where two sisters are coming up with a plan to punish their sister. This number features Melpomene [Willow McConchie], Calliope [Jessica Carden] and the Sirens [featured chorus dancers]. Our choreographer mentor [Class of 2018, Tiffany Couacaud] and choreographer [Rebecca Clark], have worked really hard to put this dance together with the directors, to create a captivating scene.
