A Message from Cam...

Hello Everyone,

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable break and are ready for an exciting and busy Term.

Observations

What has impressed me most about our school this week has been the respect demonstrated by our students to all members of the community. Whilst at the front of the school prior to school commencing, I observed a number of positive experiences between our students and our crossing guard Fiona. Fiona spoke to me about the respectful and kind nature of our students and I couldn't agree more!

During my travels around the school this week I have been proud of the way that our students have settled back into the school routine, from Prep through to Grade 6. A thank you also to our teachers who have worked very hard to ensure a smooth return to school for our students.

Curriculum

Term 2 is a very busy term with an abundance of engaging teaching and learning planned. Please see the attached Curriculum Newsletters for more specific information for each year level. We are excited to be able to reintroduce our Open Mornings, whereby parents / carers are invited into their child's class to observe their child in action!

Community

On Wednesday, our fabulous Art teacher Sarah and one of our fantastic parents Gaby Heinz ran a craft session with interested parents and their children (during lunchtime)

to make presents for the Mother’s and Special Person’s Day Stall. It was lovely to see the parents and their children enjoying the session and is another example of the inclusive and generous nature of our school community. There is a second craft session that will run on Thursday 29th April from 1.40pm to the end of the day.

A special thank you to Gaby and Sarah for all of their work on this initiative.

Kind Regards,

Cam
