Canteen

Hi everyone

Welcome back to school and a huge hello to our new families.

Canteen will be opening next Thursday, 9th Feb. I can't wait to see the kids again at the window!

Due to our new, earlier lunchtime orders must be finalised through My School Connect by 6.30am on the day required.

My School Connect:

Before ordering, please remember to update your child's class for 2023.

From your dashboard:

• Click on 'My Students'
• Click 'edit' on the student you would like to set a class for
• Select that student and new class from dropdown
• Click 'Save changes'
• You will then be able to order!
• Remember, after ordering please look for the green 'Thumbs up' to ensure that your order reaches me :)

A little more Canteen housekeeping -

• Canteen is open every Tuesday and Thursday of term
• Orders can only be placed through My School Connect: https://myschoolconnect.com.au/
• Items can be ordered for recess snack (kids pick up items from the canteen) as well as lunch (class monitors deliver orders to classrooms). Orders must be in the system by 6.30am on the day they are required and can be placed in advance
• Small amounts of cash may be used at 1st and 2nd breaks at the canteen window. There are many healthy items available for students to choose from
• If your child has any food allergy or intolerance, please call or email me at wendy.schilling@education.vic.gov.au to discuss. I try very hard to be able to offer all students the chance to order through the canteen, so please feel free to reach out
• Please remind your child when they have an order :)
• Due to the government ban on single-use plastics, we will be moving to bamboo utensils. We have not provided straws or used expanded polystyrene for a number of years.

Unfortunately, over the holidays, TWO of our freezers malfunctioned and are both are irreparable. If anyone has a working freezer that they no longer require and would like to donate, please let me know. I'm also on the hunt for large plastic (think Decor or Tupperware) containers to replace the many that I have had to dispose of........Thank you!

I am also setting up a 'Chip In' feature to MSC. Families will have the option to make an extra donation, or round up their orders during checkout. These donations will go towards purchasing new whitegoods. Please consider helping if you are able - any amount is greatly appreciated!
