First Nations Scholarships

St Augustine's College proudly collaborates with two organisations committed to increasing access to education for First Nations students: the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF) and The Smith Family's Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP).

AIEF and IYLP offer scholarship funding for First Nations students to complete Year 12. Both agencies provide mentoring and leadership, with career support to help the successful transition from school to employment or tertiary studies.

For further details, please contact our Indigenous Liaison Officer, Bryan Carswell, on 07 4052 9176 or email him.

Student Portal

The Student Portal allows students to access their timetables, announcements, the College calendar, assessment planners, documents stored on One Drive, OneNote, Teams and Turnitin. There are also links to the Gildas Centre and lots more.

  • The Student Portal is accessed via a link on student laptops and via the College website under the Portals tab on the main menu bar

Organisation & Study Assistance

If your son needs help with any organisational or study skills, we are here to assist and support him. He should talk to one of the following staff members:

  • His homeroom teacher
  • His subject teacher
  • His head of year
  • A college counsellor

Missing an Assessment or Exam

If your son misses a test or cannot complete an assessment on time, he should:

  • See the teacher involved as soon as possible, preferably before the due date

Tutorials

We offer additional tuition that your son can access.

  • Tutorials are advertised each term in Saints News and on the Parent Portal

Academic Awards

Academic awards are presented to students who have achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 4.25 on a five-point scale.  All subjects are used to determine this. To meet minimum requirements, for example, a student must attain an A in two of the subjects and a B in the remaining five subjects.
