Year 7 - An extra welcome

A huge welcome to our Year 7 students and their families - congratulations to you all for making it through the first week of 2023. We have started the year with such positive energy and excitement from our students and we look forward to seeing the personal growth from you all in 2023.

Instrumental Music Info Night:

Our Music Department will be holding an Information Session for students in Year 7 who are interested in learning an instrument. This will be held on Monday, the 6th of February at 6:00pm in our Performing Arts Centre at the School. All interested Year 7 students need to attend with their parents/carers. The evening will be very informative and includes a demonstration of instruments and application forms will be submitted on the night. Camp

Our Year 7 Camp will be going ahead in two weeks’ time from the 15th-17th of February. Students are heading to Happy Valley Camp on Great Alpine Road, about 10 minutes out of Myrtleford. Permission for camps can now be accessed via Compass and students were sent home with paper information on Thursday. As this is a free camp, we expect all Year 7s to attend. It is also an excellent opportunity for students to get to know each other and their teachers in a fun environment.

Please ensure that permission form/Compass and medical forms are completed by Wednesday, the 8th of February. 

To assist with the camp, please refer to the packing list and if any student doesn't have items on the list, please advise the student's Homeroom teacher and the school will lend them stuff.

Welcome BBQ

Invitation to our Year 7 Welcome BBQ. Come along to our annual Year 7 Welcome BBQ on Wednesday, the 1st of March at 6pm. We use this BBQ as a chance to get to know our new Year 7's and their parents, carers or guardians. It is always a great social event enjoyed by all. Please RSVP by 20th of February, by either calling the front office on 03 5723 0500, or emailing wangaratta.hs@education.vic.gov.au.
