Students have been listening to a range of stories and have been identifying how characters treating others fairly and how what it means to be a good friend. Through weekly rotations our students have worked in small groups and have been practising how to use their social skills to interact and collaborate with their peers.
Sturt Desert Peas

Through storytelling, presenting scenarios and sharing personal experiences students have been identifying the problems they encounter in everyday situations and have been brainstorming possible options to try to find solutions to solve problems. They have applied this knowledge to identify the size of problems and the size of appropriate reactions. Students have also been exploring the topic of stress management. They have been recognising their personal signs and symptoms of stress and have been developing effective strategies that will help them cope with challenges in the future. Through our topic of help seeking students have used graphic organisers to record a range of support supports they can seek help from.
