ITALIAN
Ciao a tutti, hello again to our wonderful community!
We can’t believe it’s almost the end of the year and what a way to celebrate all the incredible work we’ve been doing in Italian and Arts with our Arts Festival coming up next Wednesday 7th December. We can’t wait to celebrate what we have achieved.
BottleBrush
Over the last few weeks our Bottlebrush students have been practising how to say different colours In Italian and they have used this language to create their rainbows. They have also been learning to recognise, sing and name body parts and they coloured Pinocchio in and labelled his body parts. Congratulations on all you have achieved!
Buon Lavoro tutti (great job everyone).
Sturt Desert Peas
In Sturt Desert Peas we have been playing games to learn how to introduce ourselves in Italian and how to count to 10. We have also been drawing, identifying and labelling members of our family to support our language focus on la famiglia – my family. We have chosen a famous Italian landmark based on the la macchinette rossa (the little red car) book and we have researched, planned and written an information text based on this information.
Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus have been working hard on their Italian research projects and family trees that will be showcased at the Arts Festival. Students have blown me away with their creativity. The have made paper mache volcano models to support their non-fiction texts on the historic eruption in Pompeii, and they have created some landmark models. We can’t wait to show you how well they collaborated to produce some high-quality work. You’ll see some Roman mosaics, homemade pasta models, tira misu, Italian fashion and famous landmarks. Eucalyptus were also instrumental in preparing for the arts festivals, they helped create pizza recipes for the pizza kits and have contributed to our displays. Tanti auguri ( well done!)
Thanks for a wonderful year and we hope you have a fantastic break 😊
Ciao,
