Eucalyptus Update

What a term! Eucalyptus has had such an exciting term. We started strong with fun-filled camp, with many students reflecting they enjoyed waking up so close to the beach, what a life!

We have also been to the Zoo, with the whole school! Which was a great success, some of us were slightly tentative about the open enclosure for the lemurs and butterflies, but we conquered our fears and had butterflies taking a rest on our shoulders. We also went to the Megamix to see an interactive puppet show that discussed endangered animals, there were sharks swimming in the audience! (Puppet of course).

 But that’s not it!

We still have a couple more exciting events to look forward to!

Next week is packed with fun activities, we’re going on the Mars excursion on Monday, where we get to dress up as astronauts. On Wednesday we have an Arts and Italian show, organized by the brilliant Molly Cook and Sonia Di Simone. Our lovely Year 6’s will also have a wonderful celebration to commemorate the end of their primary school! We are so proud of them.

We have also been engaged in some serious learning, ending the year strong. We have been looking at different styles of poetry and trying to create our own, we have been looking at Cinquains, Haikus, Limericks and Shape poetry.

Guard your wallets, because in mathematics we have been exploring Money and Financial Math, creating our own stores and managing transactions between our peers.

Well done Eucalyptus on a brilliant year of learning, I am so lucky to have been your teacher.

Molly
