Town event at Bruce Browning Oval, Armidale
5pm Thursday 9th February 2023
On Thursday 9th February Northern Tablelands Orienteering Club is hosting an event at Bruce Browning Oval, on Taylor St behind Ben Venue School, Armidale. There is no need to register in advance, just turn up on the day. Newcomers of any age and ability can join in at their own pace individually or in small groups.
Starts any time between 5pm and 6pm
Course Close 6.45pm
It is a 45 minute course. Entry fee $5
You will need a smart mobile phone with the MapRun6 app downloaded onto it. A new version of MapRun6 can be found on their web site. Experienced orienteers can show you how to get started. Look out for orange signs showing where the event starts. Park on the side of road leaving enough room for others to pass. Dogs are permitted at town events but must be kept on a lead.

Slow down to 40 when bus lights flash
As the new school year commences, it’s time to reinforce our commitment to improving safety around buses.
The Transport for NSW bus flashing lights campaign highlights that motorists must ‘Slow down to 40 when bus lights flash’.
The campaign for term one will run from Thursday 26 January to Friday 10 February 2023.
We encourage you to get involved and help promote the bus flashing lights campaign through your own communication channels and within your communities.
The bus flashing lights communications toolkit contains useful web links, web tiles, imagery, animated GIFs, links for ordering posters and more. These resources can be used during the campaign and throughout the term to help us promote this important bus safety message and reach our Towards Zero target of zero lives lost on our roads.
