Stars

As this is the last edition of the newsletter for 2022, we thought now would be an ideal opportunity to acknowledge students who received citizenship awards at last week's Presentation Night. Congratulations to these students and a big thank you to the Cindy McLeish MP for sponsoring the Year 7-9 awards and the Healesville Rotary Club for sponsoring the Year 12 award.

Year 7- Otis Morant

Otis has made an exceptional start to his secondary schooling and we are proud of his efforts this year. Otis was nominated for this award by many of his teachers. He's always a kind, respectful and supportive student and he makes the class a better place. In addition to receiving the Year 7 Citizenship award, he also received the Year 7 Manager's award and the Humanities subject award. Well done, Otis!

Year 8- Joseph Jacob

Joseph has continued to contribute to the Healesville High School community. He is a much-valued member of our music program and has demonstrated dedication to continued improvement this year. He has also participated in a number of sporting events and always tries his best. He's always polite and conducts himself according to our school values. Congratulations, Joseph!

Year 9- Sam Low

Those of you who saw our school production this year, 'School of Rock', would agree, Sam was one of the stars of the show! In addition to wowing audiences, Sam has also participated in our music program. He looks for opportunities to help out at school events and always does so with a smile and his friendly nature shines through. He is well regarded by his peers and staff and he is a well-deserving recipient of the Year 9 Citizenship award.

Year 12- Charlotte Eaton

When staff were asked to nominate a Year 12 student to receive the Rotary Citizenship award, Charlotte was an obvious and popular choice. Throughout her time at Healesville High school, Charlotte has participated in many events and she has made the most of opportunities available to her. Of note is her contribution to the music program, since she was a Year 7 student. She has been a leader within this program. Charlotte looks for opportunities to make her community and the world a better place. We'll miss Charlotte next year and we wish her well for her further studies at Dookie Agricultural College. Congratulations, Charlotte and thank you for the many contributions you have made!
