School Council

John Walsh retires after 34 years on School Council at Rosehill Secondary College

At Rosehill Secondary College, John Walsh served 34 years on School Council, 30 of those as President. As a member of the local Rotary Club, John was instrumental in establishing major links between Rosehill and the community of Moonee Valley.

John has been involved in the appointment of three principals and in a number of changes throughout the school. These include transitioning from a technical school to a co-educational secondary college, the name change to Rosehill Secondary College, and the growth of the student population from 400 to 1200 students.

John’s time on School Council demonstrates the success that can be achieved through a close working relationship between Council and the Principal. The Rosehill Secondary College school community is in debt to John for his life commitment and outstanding contribution to the College over the past 34 years.

Congratulations to John, and many thanks for serving the Rosehill community so valuably.
