Prep News

Students in Prep have had a very exciting end to the term, with two special Incursions over the past couple of weeks. 

Butterfly Incursion

As part of our Inquiry this term, Prep students participated in an incursion where they learnt about the life cycle of a butterfly. Our favourite part of the Incursion was the butterfly tent, we all got to feed the butterflies and hold them carefully in our hands. Check out all the fun we had! 

Fire Education for Preps

Students in Prep had some very special visitors come into our classroom to teach us all about fire safety. For our first visit we learnt what a good fire is and what a bad fire is and how to stay safe around fires. We also learnt how to safely evacuate our home or school if there is a fire and what a safe meeting place is.  For our second visit we got to pretend to be real fire fighters and we got to spray the fire hose and sit in the firetruck!    We had a fantastic time learning about fire safety and I think we have some budding fire fighters in our class, as we were all terrific at using the hose!
