Hello again

This month we commenced the journey to define “our” [Family Connect] role within the College community and I would like to take this opportunity to thank those that took the time to come along and contribute their ideas and thoughts. Your participation, input and open discussion was invaluable.

The committee decided not to hold our regular monthly meeting due to little or no activity that required our support or actioning and we are always conscious not to meet for the sake of just holding a meeting; that said, if you have any matters or ideas for Family Connect, please share these with us or better still come to our next meeting in August.

Normally at this time of year, the Committee has through your contributions, provided financial support to many individuals and teams across sport, science, music, the arts and other worthy school programs which in turn reduces or subsidises the travel costs incurred. This year, that has not been possible, but if any local school community support is required, please reach out either through the College or Family Connect.

Later this year through the College, you will receive a survey from Family Connect to ask for your input into where Family Connect should focus its time and energy in 2021. We look forward to your participation so we can be best support and enhance the experience for students and families during their time at St Mary’s Catholic College.
