Principal’s Message

Catholic Schools Week

Last week we celebrated Catholic Schools Week which is an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the great work of Catholic schools across the diocese.  During the week we were visited by Alicia Pringle and Debbie Sullivan from the Catholic Schools Office, Armidale.  The CSO acknowledged the great work of our teachers during the period of remote learning.  Supported by the sponsorship of Australian Catholic Superannuation, the CSO said thank you by providing a morning tea for staff.  The representatives from the CSO presented the school with a certificate of thanks.  It was great to have our hard work acknowledged and this gesture was repeated across all 24 schools in the diocese of Armidale.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the residents of Victoria as they face further lock down restrictions and curfews over the next six weeks.  Learning from home will begin again this week for many of their students.  We hope and pray that NSW doesn't end up in the same situation.  Please take note of the health advice and keep your children home if they display any signs of any illness.  Parents and family members are asked to continue to remain outside the school gate and practice social distancing at pick up and drop off times.  If you have any questions or need help with anything, please go to the front administration office on Denison street.  Let's look after one another and stay healthy.

May God bless you,

Katie Hanes
