Australian Mathematics Competition

Australian Mathematics Competition is back!

Dear Families,

The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) is on once again!

This year the competition will run over two days to accommodate for the increasing number of students at St Simon’s who wish to compete.

For students in Grade 5 and 6, the date for the competition is Thursday 30th July.

However, for students in Grade 3 and 4 the date for the competition is on Friday 31st July

Last year we set a new school record of 114 students compared with 56 in previous years!

The competition is open to all students in Years 3-6 and is held at the school.

All students receive a certificate showing their level of achievement.

The AMC is designed to be a fun event to promote Mathematics and it gives students external recognition of their achievements. The entry fee is $6.50 per student.

If you would like your child to participate in the AMC, please complete and hand into your classroom teacher both the reply form that was sent home yesterday together with the $6.50 entry fee by Tuesday 14th of July, 2020

Kind regards,

Monica Rayner
