Resource Centre

Week 2

There is an air of refreshment in the Resource Centre. Despite the cold mornings, the blossom on trees points to Spring on the way … well it’s only a month and a bit away…

Last week the lunchtime games and activities restarted and this week weaving and colouring sessions resume. Exciting times! Isaac was very proud to show his coloured page: “ It’s the first one I’ve ever finished!” And some of the weavers were happy to be developing new skills and completing a first or second piece.

Some of the primary teachers have selected new books to be used as class sets either this term or next. This is a great way to help students expand their vocabulary and broaden their perceptions of other people, times and places.

Happy reading.

PREMIER’S READING CHALLENGE

Our goal this year has been to exceed our current 2018 record of 167 students completing the challenge. As of this newsletter we have now had 100 students hand in their completed forms!!

Well done to those who have handed in their forms since the last newsletter: Lily, Joshua, Sophie, Michaela, Kiiana, Ashton, Elsa, Brooklyn, Kenzee, Jude, Kaitlen, Amelia, Christopher & Tahlia.

*With 5 weeks to go there is still time for everyone to finish their 12 books and hand in their forms. So if you haven’t finished KEEP READING! If you haven’t participated in Premier’s Reading Challenge before… why don’t you GIVE IT A GO!
