Outstanding Student Achievements
I auditioned for The Adams Family musical last week. I originally auditioned for the role of Lucas, but after that they asked me to read some lines for Pugsley and sing a song. After that I went on my way.
Then on Monday I got an email saying that I got the role of Pugsley. Pugsley is the little boy who lives with a creepy ghoulish family. The musical is being produced by Green Wall Studio. I am really excited to perform in this musical!

In the holidays I went to the Onstage July program at the Festival Theatre . It was very fun; it was in the second week of holidays and went from Monday to Friday 8:45am to 4:00pm.
We worked on singing, acting, and dancing. During the week we prepared three songs, the first song was Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In from the musical Hair. This was our main dancing focus which was fun. The second song that was the singing focus was a mixture of You’ll Never Walk Alone from Carousel and Found/Tonight (Found/Tonight is a song that was already a mix of songs from Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen). This song had lots of overlayed singing and was really cool. The third song was our acting focus and it was Coffee Break from How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying and was probably my personal favourite.
Aside from learning all the songs we also learnt about auditions and how best to do one, we learnt about the basics of musical history and some different singing techniques.
Although we couldn’t perform the three songs for our families like we normally would with the program due to Corona Virus, we still put on our ‘official’ performance for the centre's staff. Overall, it was a great experience and it was super and interesting. I learnt a lot from the program and it's a good experience for anyone to have.

Introducing our Pre Service teachers
My name is Morgan Gomer, and I am a Pre-Service Teacher undertaking my 3rd-year placement at Tyndale Christian School. I am focussed primarily on the STEM areas of learning and hope to instil a love of science in the minds of my students.
In my free time, I play on a social hockey team and enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family.
I will be teaching in middle and senior school classes for weeks 1-4 of Term 3.
If you see me out and about on campus, please don’t hesitate to say hello!
My name is Hannah Patterson and I’m a student teacher from the University of Adelaide.
I will be completing my final placement at Tyndale for most of Term 3.
My subject specialisations are Secondary English and History. . Before commencing my teaching degree, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Development at Adelaide Uni. Originally from a country town, I really value community, the impact it has on student learning and how it can create learning opportunities outside the classroom.
Before I was studying teaching, I worked in Uganda on a literacy development project that impacted nearly 2000 primary school students. Currently, I am working with the University of Adelaide in providing academic support to Indigenous students through Wirltu Yarlu. I really look forward to sharing some of my experiences in class and encouraging students to think deeper and wider about what they learn in class.
I look forward to meeting many of you over the duration of Term 3.
