The end of Term 1 is quickly approaching. For most of our students, this is the first term of no interruptions (remote learning and lockdowns) in almost 2 years. Our fingers and toes are crossed that it stays this way for the rest of the year.

Our Year 2 Sleep In was a huge success, with all students and teachers managing to get some sleep. The students enjoyed a BBQ dinner with their families, a movie and popcorn and activities at the lake. Thank you to Miss White, Miss Leigh, Miss Mawby and Mr Shuttleworth for supporting these students through their first school camp.

Last week, we had a large number of families attend our Term 1 Parent / Teacher interviews. Teachers thoroughly enjoyed the chance to chat to parents. Parents are invited to Parent / Teacher interviews in Terms 1 and 3 and will receive a formal written report in Terms 2 and 4.

Also last week, we welcomed around 40 families to our Family Picnic. The weather held off for us, although a little chilly. Students enjoy an egg and spoon race and there were some amazing Easter creations. Photos of these creations can be found on the photos page of this newsletter.

Yesterday, we had around 50 students head to the Interschool Athletics Sports Day. All students represented the school well. There were some personal best performances and all students represented the school with pride.

This coming Friday is our End of Term BBQ, casual dress and Colour Fun Run. In previous years, all students have really enjoyed this day, especially being covered by teachers in bright colours.

ANZAC Day in 2022 falls on the last day of the school holidays. Traditionally the school joins the ANZAC day parade in the street and then takes part in the ANZAC service. We will once again be taking part in this community event and information about meeting times will be emailed out during the last week of the holidays. Students walking with the school must be wearing school uniform. Once at the service, students can either stand with the teachers or their parents.

On 26th April (first day of Term 2), we have 6 students attending Somers Camp. Mr Ward is also attending. Mr Hume will be taking Mr Ward's class during this time. We hope these students have an amazing time and enjoy the chance of making new friends from other schools.

Final reminder, Friday is the end of Term 1 and therefore is a 2:30pm dismissal
