Regional Swimming Carnival Report

15 of our District Champions made their way to the WaterMarc Aquatic Centre to take part in the Regional Swimming Carnival. The day was action packed, and our students did us very proud both in and out of the pool with their behaviour and their fantastic results.
The students all did a wonderful job on the day, with many top 5 finishes.
A BIG congratulations to the following students who won a gold medal and will now go to the STATE FINALS in the 9/10 year old girls freestyle relay final.

The Fitzroy North Community are right behind you!
Once again, a big thank you to Sally and Fiona, our parent helpers, who attended and assisted on the day. Also to Stacey for organising and supporting the swimmers.
See you at the STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!
GO FITZROY NORTH GO!
On Tuesday, we had the regional swimming carnival. Everyone participated and got through their nerves and lost their voices from screaming to cheer on the others. 15 students from grades 4 - 6 took their turn in the races assigned.
Four students ended up with medals and are going on to represent our school at the state carnival, and even though not all of us received a medal, we all have amazing memories of this beautiful day. Cheering on our teammates was some of the most exciting moments of the day. We were all so excited to see people getting places and we cheered for each other because everyone did their best! It was fun to see everyone getting congratulated and cheered on. All of us are proud and fair of what we have achieved that day.
