Working Bee - this Sunday 27th March

The Gardening Group have kindly offered their services to help run an important working bee in preparation for our exciting major $9M refurbishment expected to commence next term.
We have much to decant from the building areas into our shipping containers. Many hands make light work and we invite all families to participate in this major event on this SUNDAY 9-12am. Please drop in at a time that suits and if you have a portable drill set, trolley or screw driver then please bring them along.
The endless list of tasks include:
- Packing of stationary items into boxes ready for storage
- Setting up Tony’s new classroom in the junior building to include adding tables and chairs, installing notice boards.
- De-assembly of tables from 6 classrooms on upper level for compact storage and their removal to the containers
- Careful removal of AV, Notice boards, chairs from 6 classrooms etc
- Decanting of 12 school bag cubes to the hall (trolleys will be needed)
- Packing art materials into storage boxes and decanting to containers
- Relocating Fete consumables, materials and equipment into shipping container.
- Relocating Science resources into shipping container.
- Decanting miscellaneous furniture, metal objects into a recycle skip from various classrooms and boiler room.
We have ordered a large waste skip to also discard unwanted items.
I also have a special request for
- 6-7 supervising volunteers for designated areas. Duncan, Melissa, Tania and myself will provide special instructions and advice pertaining to each of the focus areas mentioned in the list above. It is hoped supervisors can be onsite from approximately 8.30am. Please email your availability for such a role to : Dale.perichon@education.vic.gov.au
- Anyone who can bring a plate for morning tea.
Regards
Dale
