Dear Parents/Carers,

May the joy and hope of the Risen Christ be with each of you as we continue our faith journey.

On behalf of Father Jerome, Bernadette Milne, Mrs Ferrari and Mr Speranza I would like to extend a heartfelt thankyou for all your contributions to Project Compassion during the Lenten season. Your donations will be distributed to the communities which will have a lasting impact on their way of life. Thank you!  

I would like to share an Easter Reflection with you:

What was necessary for the apostles and is necessary for us this Easter season is to have a personal meeting with the Risen Lord. He is just as present to us as he was to Peter and the others on that Easter Day.

In the Mass, the Paschal Mystery is made present every Sunday and in the other Sacraments that sustain and nourish us in our Christian life. Through the Sacraments, particularly the Mass, our risen Lord desires to enter into a profound communion with us and speak the words of Easter peace into the depths of our hearts. He desires that, despite our weaknesses, our sins, we can be renewed in faith, hope and love in the dimension of the Cross.

Humanity is crying out for this peace, it is our mission to make this peace of Christ Risen present to our generation.

Prayer:

Lord, the Resurrection of Your Son has given us new life and renewed hope. Help us to live as new people. Grant us wisdom to know what we must do, the will to want to do it, the courage to take on the challenge and the strength to complete it.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, the risen Lord, Amen.

O God, our ruler and guide, in whose hands are the destinies of this and every nation, we give you thanks for the freedoms we enjoy in this land and for those who laid down their lives to defend them: We pray that we and all the people of Australia, gratefully remembering their courage and their sacrifice, may have grace to live in a spirit of justice, of generosity, and of peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Important Events in our School Community

Mother’s Day / Special Friends Mass

Remember this date: Friday 6th May 2022

All carers, mothers, fathers, special friends are invited to attend our special Mass for all Mothers and Special friends at 9:15 am in the Parish Church.

RECONCILIATION

Year 4 Reconciliation will be held in the Parish Church at 6:00 pm on Tuesday 3rd May 2022.

Year 3 Reconciliation will be held in the Parish Church at 6:00 pm on Wednesday 4th May 2022.

Please keep these children in your prayers as they prepare to receive this special Sacrament.

SCHOOL BLESSING

Reminder to all our St Mary’s Community that we will be having a special ceremony for the Blessing of our Refurbished Building on Thursday 5th May 2022 at 2:30 pm. Everyone is most welcome.
