Transforming Our School Grounds
Transforming Our School Grounds
We are transforming our school grounds through a stage-by-stage upgrade program to meet student educational and wellbeing needs and to make the most of our available outdoor space for our whole school community.
In 2020, the school:
- Completed a major upgrade of the sports courts and construction of the new terraced deck outside our main building.
- Started seeking external funding for the next stage of our landscape masterplan with a grant application to the Victorian Government to transform our outdoor play and learning space in the central asphalt ‘heart’ of our school.
In 2018 our school began creating our own landscape masterplan to transform our school grounds, in consultation with our whole school community.
The plan was presented to our community in 2019 and implementation began in 2020. It outlines an ambitious scope, but one that is achievable, through community support, working bees, fundraising, sponsorships and grants.
How you can help
Join our Facilities Sub-Committee
Our Facilities Sub-Committee is responsible for projects in our school grounds and is made up of parent and teacher members. We meet every month at 8am.
New members are very welcome. Contact armadale.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au to join.
Working Bees are held once a term on a Saturday or Sunday for a general tidy up and small improvement projects. These are organised by our Facilities Sub-committee and PFA teams and are a fun way to help out at school and meet other families.
