Learning in J06

Mrs Warn

Junior School J06 Warn is sharing the learning taking place in their class…

We're BACK!!!

J06 is so happy to be back at school.

We are back with our friends and we are in full learning mode!!

We have been practising our Independent Reading skills and we are now up to 5 mins of sustained reading.  We all know how to be respectful, responsible and resilient readers!

In writing, we have been exploring recounts and using the 5W’s to share about something we have done.  Last week we made bubble wands and a bubble solution, then wrote about it.  We are also improving our handwriting by using coloured handwriting books that help us with our sizing and formations – getting these books was exciting for everyone.

In Math’s, we have been practising our skills in addition.  We are developing our understanding that addition problems can be solved in different ways including, using hands-on materials, drawing it, using a number line and practising mental addition.

Learning is much more fun when we’re together!
