Music: Count Us In counts down to Celebration Day:  November 5th, 12.30pm

Dear Ivanhoe Primary School Community,

Today the students of Ivanhoe Primary School downed pencils and pens to participate in one of Australia’s most inclusive and widely performed music events.

For a while it seemed the concert performances would not go ahead in N.S.W. or Victoria due to Covid 19 restrictions. In a show of resilience, Music: Count Us In organisers came up with a solution for our students to be able to perform the song and participate in the live stream event signing instead of singing.

Our students excelled at learning the Australian Sign Language version of the song You Won’t Bring Us Down. The support materials provided by the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children Thomas Pattison School made the task easier and students related positively to the lovely smiling faces of the students from Thomas Pattison School.

I am really proud of the positive attitude and effort our students demonstrated learning Auslan.

Well done Ivanhoe Primary School!

The Gallery!

It’s always fantastic to receive videos from our talented students.
