Live Love Learn

Dear Families,

Thank you to our parent community for following the school's drop off and dismissal processes.

Now that we are back together at school, there are a number students who have come down with colds. Please remember if your child has any COVID-19 symptoms including fever, cough, sneezing, temperature or runny nose, they should not attend school even if a negative test has been returned. This will minimise the spread of illnesses and the need for other students and families to get tested.

A reminder that tomorrow, Friday 23 October, is a Public Holiday. As per calendar dates, Monday 2nd November, is a school closure day. TheirCare will run a whole day service. Please book in through their website.

Wellbeing

Goal - Giving with purpose

By having a special purpose to strive for, you will get up every morning with a reason to build your best possible self. Giving of yourself to make other peoples' lives better, will fill you with positive emotions and add meaning to your life. The more purpose you have in your life the happier and healthier you will feel. People who always go with the flow, miss out on the great feelings which come from giving.

Learning and Teaching in the Juniors

The Preps celebrated 100 Days of School virtually in Term 3. Last Monday, they were able to celebrate altogether at school by decorating a keepsake T-shirt.

The Year 1's participated in an online session with Michael Salmon, author and illustrator of The Pirate who Wouldn't Wash. Michael demonstrated how to draw a cartoon and the students made a fantastic effort to draw a cartoon dog.

They also listened to Mrs Orr read one of the shortlisted picture books, 'We're Stuck!'

The Year 2's have been learning about Teamwork and wrote acrostic poems to demonstrate their understanding of what Teamwork means.

They will work with a partner to create a curious creature.

Scripture of the Week

Hello everyone,

For your information please note that StsPP offer the following online masses and prayers: https://www.stspeterandpauls.com/prayers-and-online-mass

Sacrament of Reconciliation for the families at Sts PP Parish.

We are very excited to announce that the Sacrament of Reconciliation will take place at Galilee on Tuesday November 10th during school hours for all StsPP families who attend Galilee. Parents will be soon notified by their child's teacher of all times and requirements. We are very happy that we have been able to collaborate with Fr. John and Fr. Hugh to celebrate this Sacrament with many of our students.

Year 4 families have been sent a letter from Fr Hugh regarding options for First Eucharist.
