Bendigo Foodshare collects food from generous local donors. The food is then distributed to those experiencing food poverty through charities, community organisations and schools throughout Central Victoria. Foodshare relies on volunteers and generous donations. They provide food for 1.76 million meals a year and reduce food poverty in Central Victoria for about 13,000 people per week.
Owing to the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, their supplies to support those in need are very low. The members of the Girton Grammar Junior School Student Representative Council need your help to support Bendigo Foodshare. By donating just a few items from the list below, we can help reduce food poverty in Central Victoria.
In previous years, along with contributions from Senior School, we have donated an average of 500kg of food. Hopefully, we can donate 600 kgs this year!
