Year 11 News

Term 4

The 2020 year 11  cohort and their teachers must be commended for meeting and overcoming the challenges of this academic year.

Student transition to their year 12 program began in early December, with many students continuing with their original VCE and VCAL pathways, and a number changing their pathway for their final year of schooling.

2021 will present  a whole new range of challenges as students work towards completing their VCAL qualification and obtaining their VCE study scores.

State Dressage Champion

Taleah Cameron of Year 11 2020, competed at the Victorian Interschool State Championships representing Mornington Secondary College on Saturday the 5th and 6th of December. She won both Elementary tests on her mount Black Jack, resulting in the Overall Interschool Elementary State Dressage Champion. On the Sunday she then competed in the Medium level on Black Jack which saw her finish 6th overall.

On her second mount, Impeccable, who she has only partnered with for a short time, she competed on the Sunday in the preliminary section and finished a pleasing 2nd.

This is a huge achievement, and she represented the college for an outstanding result. We wish her all the best for the 14th of January, where she heads to the Victorian Youth Dressage Championships at Boneo Park, once again representing the college.
