Year 8 News

Term 4 2020

During term four we had a successful return from remote learning with students and staff excited to be back at school. Friendships were renewed and learning continued in earnest. Year 8s focused on transition back to school and preparation for year 9. 

Students attended an exciting day of outdoor activities for orientation day. These included snorkeling, surfing, a boat tour, tree surfing, and stand up paddle boarding.

Another highlight was the opportunity to celebrate our students’ successes at our annual awards assembly. Prizes were awarded for academic excellence, 100% attendance,  outstanding achievement in sports, and for students who had been recognised for positive learning behaviours throughout the year. It was a pleasure to present so many awards to deserving students.

As a final thanks in recognising the hard work of all year 8 students we sizzled some sausages for lunch and wished them all a safe break and a successful year 9.
