Parent’s Association AGM

Back in October, we were considering postponing the PA Annual General Meeting (AGM) this year due to the uncertainty back then. Given the current situation, while we are not suggesting the usual opportunity for socialisation, this year the PA AGM will be held virtually on 27th November. Committee members will be invited to join a Webex meeting, and the President’s Report will be shared with the School Community afterwards.     

Invitations are now open to join the Parent’s Association Committee 2021

We are inviting you to join the PA Committee 2021. You have already received our invitation via the previous Rocket posts and Compass, and if you would like to find out more about the PA or wish to express your interest in joining the Committee, please take a look at the attached Constitution of Parent’s Association, you may also contact our Office or Deane Lam, PA President. 

 

With committee members leaving Syndal South at the end of this year, it is important for you to consider joining us. In order to run legally and effectively, we need a minimum of 6 parents to join the committee as Registered Members and 3 Office Bearers. Becoming a Committee Member, you have a key role to: 

  • vote for decision-making
  • elect and nominate Office Bearers
  • be a representative on School Council.

We only have a maximum 10 meet-ups a year and if you are too busy to join, you can still be involved in decision-making via online meetings or email. The important thing is you find an interest in planning and participating in the events/projects for building a stronger school community. We understand that we are all busy parents and that’s why many volunteers and hands make light work for all of us.  

 

To register as a member, simply fill in the form below (page 6) and place it in the box at the Office or just email a copy to us. 

 

Being a PA Committee Member is a rewarding role and a wonderful way to give back to the community and our school!  We look forward to hearing from you!
