No Hat No Play
During Term 4, all primary students are required to wear a hat out in the yard at recess and lunch times. The school policy is 'No Hat No Play'. If you need to purchase a hat for your child you can do so at the school's main office.
Please make sure your child brings a drink bottle to school each day. As per Covid-19 policy the drink fountains are now taps so students can only fill drink bottles not drink out of fountains.
Book Week Is Coming
It is very exciting to announce that Book Week is being held for all primary students during week 4 on Wednesday 28th October?
The Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) put back the official announcement of this year's shortlisted books due to heath directives. They are now being announced next week. Information about these titles can be found at www.cbca.org.au/cbca-book-week .
This year's theme is:
Every year our students thoroughly enjoy participating in Book Week activities and I'm sure this year will be no exception. However, our celebration will look a little different to past activities. We are encouraging students to dress up as their favourite book character or as a 'curious creature'. Book parades will be held within units only. Sadly, family are still unable to attend our college, but we will make sure that lots of photos are shared! Afterwards, students will celebrate many fabulous books by doing different activities.
Book club orders are due by Monday 19 October. Please make sure you have any orders in by then.
Families please be aware that students who arrive at school before 8.40am can go to the Breakfast Club, held in the Canteen. Alternatively, they may sit on the seats at the back of the Green Building until 8.40am. Students are not to play out the front of the Green Building until 8.40am when the front playground is supervised and the doors of the Green Building are opened.
We have a LOT of primary jumpers in our lost property. If your child is missing a jumper please tell them to ask Mrs Collihole if it is in lost property.
There are also a LOT of containers and drink bottles too.
Please remember it is very important to name all your children’s property clearly, especially hats and jumpers, bags, drink bottles and lunch containers.
