PSSA Girls Hockey

Third in State

The Primary Girls Hockey Team travelled to Narellan in Sydney last Monday to compete in the PSSA Hockey Finals at Macarthur Hockey Complex.

The first game saw the girls come up against eventual winners Camden South. The girls were left a little shell-shocked after Camden scored very quickly into the first half. Camden showed some amazing skill and soon the score was 3 nil. During the second half, some tight marking by the Molong girls prevented Camden from dominating, which allowed Molong to attack and come very close to scoring a number of times. The girls should be very proud, and especially of their exceptional second half performance.

The final game of the day saw us up against Ben Venue Public School in Armidale. The girls played amazingly well to display determination, skill and perseverance in absolutely horrendous conditions. After trailing for most of the game, Molong eventually slotted a goal in to clinch a two all draw. A fantastic result from an extremely talented bunch of girls, who showed outstanding sportsmanship and did their families and Molong Central School proud.
