University Roadshow

Our senior students found the visiting University Roadshow most helpful.  Representatives from the University of New England, Southern Cross University, University of Newcastle, University of Wollongong and Charles Sturt University provided our yr12 students with valuable information covering:

• The admissions process – deciding on courses, UAC and alternative entry

• Career destinations and work experience 

• Accommodation options – on campus/off campus, catering, costs, support

• Financial considerations – HECS/HELP, additional study costs, scholarships

• University life – making the most of your university experience, how university life differs from school, how to be successful at university

Health Careers

Senior students explored health careers at the University of Newcastle (Tamworth Campus) today.

Our young budding health professionals investigated a range of health careers including: Medicine, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Mental Health, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Medical Research and Medical Radiation Science.

Students described the forum as extremely helpful, fun, interesting, inspirational, enlightening, informative, compelling, reassuring, optimistic, motivational, exciting and enjoyable.

Defense Careers

Year 10,11 and 12 students who are interested in pursuing a career in the forces attended a presentation by the ADF.

The students explored all the career, lifestyle and financial benefits of working for the ADF.  We thank our presenters from the various forces for sharing information and experiences.  We appreciate you taking the time to visit our school.
