School Info

School Start Time

School commences at 8.50 each morning, students need to make every effort to be at school before this time.

The first lesson of the day - CREW - includes activities that relate to the wellbeing of the students as well as provide an opportunity for the teachers to connect with the students and provide daily notices and information.

Thank you to parents/carers for your support.

Autumn Festival

At the recent Armidale Community of Schools (ACOS) meeting, various concerns were raised about issues some schools have had in the past about their participation in the Autumn Festival (now called New England Festival) each year.  It was agreed that our public and high schools will not be marching as a school group in this year’s parade.

Students will have the opportunity this year to watch on from the sidelines.

New England Focus

We are pleased to share the recent editorial in the New England Focus magazine about a couple of our new key initiatives.

RU OK?

These posters are displayed in key areas around the school. Students, remember there are many staff at school to support you, as well as your families at home. Going through a tough time? Talk to someone. We are here for YOU 😊

Chess Club

The Chess Club meets on Tuesdays to have a couple of games. Other activities on the go during this time in the library include board games, crafts and reading activities.

New players always welcome!

Go Where Eagles Dare!

Armidale Secondary College needs a costume for our PBL mascot, the eagle.  This mascot will appear at a range of school events to promote our three core values:  Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.  Anyone handy with sewing or textiles who would be happy to volunteer their time to help make our mascot dream come true, please contact either Jess Brennan or Fiona Kelly on 6772 1266.

Head Lice

A number of cases of head lice have been reported to the school, please can you check your child's hair and follow the necessary treatment, if infected.

Edwards Bus Info

Edwards Coaches have advised that the Martins Gully red bus transfers will now occur at Drummond Memorial School.

It is anticipated that this change will improve time by up to 10 minutes and is a safer change for the affected buses.

The transfer should occur at approximately 3.45pm.

Lost Property

We have some items at the front office that were left at Monckton after the swimming carnival as well as found around the school.

Should your child have lost an item, please direct them to ask at the office.
