LIBRARY HOURS - Reminder:
- Junior and Senior Libraries will be open Monday to Friday before school from 8.30am to 8.50am
- Junior and Senior Libraries will be open at recess for borrowing, returning, quiet reading and studying
- Senior Library ONLY will be open after school from 3.15 to 4.00pm for borrowing, returning, quiet reading and studying
- The Junior and Senior Libraries are NOT OPEN at Lunchtime
Grant from Truganina Progress Association
We have been lucky to receive a grant of $300 for Book of the Year in Schools Project 2019-2021.This 3 year grant will help assist Tarneit P-9 College, enabling us to purchase quality Australian literature to share with our students and whilst reading these books, students can also learn something of the history and values of Truganina Pioneer Heritage.
A total of 24 labels, each label is located inside the front cover of the donated books and highlights a snippet about Truganina.
These books are available in the Junior Library for students to borrow.
Ellie and Wuggles and new friends
Peter Rabbit
Thank you so much to Deb – Charlotte and Madeleine Porter’s grandmother for our donation of Peter Rabbit. Peter is settling in well to library life as he is surrounded by familiar friends from the Beatrix Potter Series, like Jemima Puddleduck, Benjamin Bunny, and Tom Kitten. Peter has also had fun scaring some of our staff into thinking there’s a person standing in the library after everyone has gone home – he’s cheeky!
Wuggles and Ellie
Wuggles and Ellie have been reading our new “Trek Learns About” Super Reads books with all different topics like time, shapes, texture, numbers etc.
They’ve gained a lot of knowledge and passed their information on to Peter Rabbit who came from the same home as Wuggles! Wuggles was excited to be reunited with Peter Rabbit and to introduce him (who really needs no introduction) to Ellie.
