We are excited to welcome Team Kids to WPS. Team Kids are our new Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) provider. They pride themselves in developing strong, nurturing relationships that see our students want to attend before and/or after school to support family needs.
Team Kids has a child-centred approach that focuses on creating innovative and fun experiences for our children. Eventually, Curriculum Day care and School Holiday Programs will also be on offer to keep our kids entertained and engaged and support family needs.
Team Kids is run out of our GUMNUT LEARNING COMMUNITY building until our Gym and Community Rooms open next term. Team Kids HOURS of OPERATION at WPS are:
Before School Care: 7.00am - 8.45am
After School Care: 3.30pm - 6.30pm
Families may be able to access CHILD CARE SUBSIDY (CCS), which makes this service financially viable, with costs as little as $3 to $4 a session if eligible.

VACCINATIONS AVAILABLE AT WPS
Wollert PS have nominated themselves as a partner in delivering COVID Vaccinations to our community. This service is separate to our school, administered by a practicing clinic, Merrifield City Medical Centre who will just use our buildings for ease and convenience for our community.
Our school will host a vaccination clinic on 27th June 2022 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM onsite at the school for first and second doses, open to everyone in the community. Bookings and walk-ups are available.
Please note that provider is also organising the adult COVID-19 Jab (Pfizer booster jab) adults at the same time.
Merrifield City Medical Centre will also hold a community engagement session on 21st June 2022 from 4:00PM onwards for parents and carers to ask questions about vaccinations and hear from our health experts.
Children who received their first dose 8 or more weeks ago can now get their second dose. A second COVID-19 dose will help maximise your child’s protection against the COVID-19 virus.
Getting kids vaccinated will help:
The vaccine is safe and effective for children. All side effects of vaccination are reported and monitored, to ensure the ongoing safety of vaccination. For more information about vaccination for children, visit: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/vaccination-information-children-and-teenagers

UNIFORM UPDATE
Winter is here! You may have seen our Wollert beanie on some of our staff and students. These are available from Academy Uniforms as well as a scarf with the school logo. As with the rest of our uniform, an alternative could be wearing a black or grey beanie without any logos or emblems.
Our winter tunic has also been added to our variety. This tunic is designed to have a white long sleeve top or skivvy underneath, with plain black also an option. Black tights are also able to be added beneath the tunic.
Uniform is an important part of the 'Wollert Way' and creates a sense of pride and identity for us as a community. We thank our families for showing your respect by ensuring your children are in uniform everyday.
