Out Of School Hours Care

OSHC News

My Time Our Place

During weeks 9 & 10  children have spent time in the OSHC room, the playground, the oval and the garden. In the OSHC room the children enjoyed making compliment cards to give to their friends and family and stress balls out of rice and balloons. On the playground the children had fun playing chasey and dodge-ball as well as seeing if they could balance around the perimeter of the play area. On the bitumen the children used chalk to draw 4-Square courts and play for the ‘king’ position. They also enjoyed skipping by themselves or in small groups and playing bey-blades. On the oval the children practised their footy skills by playing games of 'Marks Up' and practised their goal shooting.

Active After School

If our Educators have not been notified by parents/caregivers that their child/ren are participating in active after school they will be unable to leave the service. If your child is going to attend an after school activity please notify the service in advance. If your child/ren are booked in for that day and do not come to the OSHC service prior to their after school activity, the service will follow our protocol of contacting parents, and if parents cannot be contacted the police will be called. Please remind your children to go to  OSHC before going to active after school.

Medications

If your child requires medication please ensure that you have provided an action plan as well as the medication (asthma pump, Epipen etc.) to the service. It is vital that we have access to your child’s medication at our service whilst your child is attending.

Hats

As part of our sun safety policy children will be required to wear a hat throughout the year.

Absentees

A reminder to all parents and caregivers to contact the service on 8443 5308 if their child/ren are no longer attending their sessions or have been collected early from school.

Dietary Requirements

At our service we aim to cater to children’s needs as much as possible, however, if your child has specific dietary requirements or does not like the food programmed for the day please pack an alternative snack or drop off food alternatives at the service.
