A big welcome if you are new to Early Start Australia as part of our involvement with the Kindy Uplift Pilot!

 

Early Start Australia is proud to be a selected provider of services to participating centres.

 

What is the Kindy Uplift Pilot?

  • An initiative of the Queensland Government.
  • Funding for kindergartens to engage in programs or professional development facilitated by allied health and early childhood professionals.
  • The 3-year pilot will target kindergarten services, including community kindergartens and long day care services, to improve early learning outcomes for up to 13,500 children each year.

Early Start Australia therapy teams will be visiting kindys around Queensland providing consultation, training and program development services that focus on the key Kindy Uplift Priority Areas. These are listed below, along with examples of some of the developmental areas ESA therapists will be helping with.

Fine motor, gross motor skills, coordination, self care skills – e.g. toileting, hygiene, dressing, mealtimes

Social skills, conversations, requesting for help, peer interaction, naming and describing emotions, answering questions, improving vocabulary

Early Start Australia therapists work with childcare centres and kindergartens every day.  We are excited to be able to reach even more children as part of the pilot, and look forward to working more closely with the children, families and educators involved all over Queensland.
