Staffing update

Along with the changes to our staffing structures I shared with you all in the last newsletter, I am pleased to announce that Amanda Vigilante has now joined Orchard Park Primary School. Amanda will be taking 3/4A on Mondays through to Wednesdays each week and Brendan will continue to teach the class on Thursdays and Fridays. Brendan and Amanda are working closely together as this successful transition occurs and we are thrilled to have Amanda join our school.

We are finalising the appointment of another fantastic teacher to teach 3/4B on Thursdays and Fridays on a permanent basis. Stay tuned for some exciting news around this appointment in the very near future.

Staff car park

Just a reminder that the staff car park is not a pick up and drop off location for parents and students. We kindly ask parents to please not use this space to do so. We want to ensure that all students remain safe during these times. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.

Parent Teacher Interviews

We are looking forward to welcoming all of our parents and carers into the school to meet with teachers this Monday 23rd May for our parent/teacher interviews. This is a wonderful opportunity to come and meet with your child's teacher to discuss their progress and ask any questions you may have. Please check Compass for available appointments. If you need assistance with making a booking, don't hesitate to contact the office.

Cross Country Division competition

I have literally just returned from an action packed day at Toomuc Reserve in Pakenham where 28 of our students competed in the District Cross Country. I was so proud of firstly how well this group of students represented our school and demonstrated our school values. They were absolute legends all day!! I was just as proud for the incredible effort they all put into their individual runs. The competition was tough, but the students did a brilliant job. We have 8 students who have qualified for the Division competition which is taking place in a couple of weeks time. Congratulations to all of our students on their tremendous efforts today.

Federal Election Polling Booth - tomorrow!!!

Don't forget, Orchard Park Primary School will be a polling booth for the upcoming Federal Election on 21st May, which is tomorrow. It will take place in the school gymnasium. We will be running a sausage sizzle to raise funds for school resources. There will also be a coffee van on-site selling delicious warm drinks. Be sure to encourage your family, friends and neighbours to use our school as their location to vote and get a delicious snag in bread whilst they are here!
