Year 10 Macbeth Incursion

Year 10 Macbeth Incursion

Late Term 1, Year 10 students were lucky enough to experience a live performance of the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare, held in our PAC by the excellent Eagle's Nest Theatre Company. After the action-packed rendition of this famous tragedy, students were also lucky enough to partake in a workshop of key scenes.

In Term 3, the Eagle's Nest Theatre will be back to perform Romeo and Juliet for Year 9 students.

Here are some thoughts from our Year 10 students:

The scene where Macbeth saw the dagger in his vision was performed in an interesting way.
Charles Vigano

Macbeth's actor was very dramatic and had a lot of confidence in his Macbeth character...the battle scenes seemed to be very gory and were intense and the three witches were creepy and mysterious.
Charlie Cheney

When Lady Macbeth was acting in a way that seemed like she did not call upon the spirts but upon herself, it made it seem like Lady Macbeth was more aggressive and also that she was truly evil.
Hanako Gunton

The fight scenes were very intense as they actors portrayed the characters perfectly.
Jacob Baldwin

Something that I took away from the Macbeth performance was how good the actors were. They were really engaging and kept the audience's attention the whole time.
Sriya Kondhalkar
