From the Assistant Principals

Leadership Camp

20 student leaders from Years 8-11 recently attended a four day camp at 15 Mile Creek.  Creating skilled, inspired and motivated leaders was the primary focus of the experience.

During the camp, students were encouraged to understand and discover leadership qualities within themselves and apply these characteristics to a team environment.  Our various leaders were asked to contribute to the success of their activities groups on all day bushwalks and half day sessions on mountain bikes and building rafts.

On the final night of the camp, leaders explored the projects they would make their focus for the rest of the year.  I am thankful to Ms Cordingly and Mr Marsh who attended the camp and supported the students to develop the skills needed to create change, both now and in the future.

Shoes

Shoes are currently a focus of the student managers.  Students must be in full and correct uniform each day unless they have a note and collect a uniform pass from their coordinators.  Please be reminded of the following aspects of the shoe policy.

  • Black leather lace up school shoes are the only permitted school shoe (no T-bars allowed)
  • Gym shoes/runners are not to be worn except for PE, sport and lunchtime sporting activities
  • Thongs, sandals, and boots are not acceptable footwear
