Grade 3/4

Grade 3/4 Inquiry Unit: First Fleet.

We have been learning about James Cook and life on the First Fleet Vessels.

Did You know?

Captain James Cook, (27 October 1728 – 14 February 1779) was an English explorer, navigator and cartographer. He made three voyages to the Pacific Ocean  mapping many areas and recording several islands and coastlines on European maps for the first time.

Mr Peterson, our visiting teacher, discussed life on the First Fleet Ships with us. We worked hard on our Body Biography task.

We researched facts about different individuals and their experiences on the ship during Cook's  voyages.

We enjoyed working with our friends on our Biography Body research task.

The First Fleet was a fleet of 11 ships that brought the first European settlers to Australia.
