Principal Report 

A word from Ian...

Semester 1, 2020 is nearly over. It has  been a year we will always remember. Thank you for your support during a really difficult time for all of our community and the world. We are looking forward to a more stable Semester 2. Have a wonderful, restful school holidays and please stay safe. 

COVID-19

We feel really lucky to be able to be at school every day with our amazing students. Our children at DCC are really amazing and make coming to school a pleasure every day. We love greeting students at the gates each day. We are hoping that school will return to normal at some stage but we need to monitor the situation. Our priority is to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Next term drop off times will be from 8.30am to 8.50am. We appreciate your efforts in getting children to school on time.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Next term we will have an opportunity for you to meet with your child's classroom teacher to discuss their learning and goals for Semester 2.

School Photos

School photos will be taken on Monday the 19th of October, 2020.

Kitchen Garden progress

We are getting closer to establishing our kitchen garden at our school.  We have been working on one garden near the Year 1 portables.The large kitchen garden that we gained a grant for will go to tender for building in August. The sculpture which families work on last year will be finished and installed late July. The concrete base has been finished this week.

Bird Houses

We are looking forward to seeing families' bird houses after the school holidays. Please make sure the bird houses are weather proof.

Curriculum Day

Next Term our Curriculum Day will be on Friday the 24th of July. Children are not required at school on this day. Staff will be continuing our Maths professional learning.
