Junior toddler

Hello and welcome back!
Previously due to less number of children, the junior toddlers spent most of the time in toddler's room. After the children coming back to care, we were able to stay in our room and engage in a variety of activities.
Morning Tea & learning about fruits/colors
Morning Tea fruit time is a great opportunity for the educators to have a conversation with individual children as well as in the group. The children talk about the fruits they and they discuss about the meals they eat at home and the things they do at home with their families and pets. They show agency and independence when practicing how to use tongs to serve fruit and emptying their leftovers in the bin. The children are learning valuable skills at meal times that supports building their fine motor skills too.
Indoor/Outdoor play
The children engage in a variety of activities indoors including reading books, dramatic play in the kitchen area and reading books at the book corner. They also engage in outdoor play and it is important for them to develop their motor skills and social skills playing in groups. We are discussing on how to look after each other and how to resolve conflict within the children. Please send us extra clothes and gumboots for them to take the advantage of the beautiful outdoors during their play.
