Nursery 2

Fine motor skills and creative expression
In nursery 2, we planned different types of painting and drawing activities through out these two weeks, in order to improve children's creativity, hand-eye coordination, grasping skills and other fine motor skills.
Improving social skills
Outdoor play and group activities are continuously helping the bonding between our children and improve their social skills. We provided small group activities within the room and outdoor environments to fulfill this aspect.
Pretend play
Pretend play/ dramatic play bequeaths children with lot of benefits such as, learning new vocabulary, improving life skills and social skills, creativity and cognitive skills. In Nursery-2 room, we encourage the pretend play happening and educators participate actively in the play with the children to derive the maximum advantageous of it.
Spatial awareness
Children are learning where their bodies are in the space(spatial awareness) , through everyday life experiences. We are helping them to understand this by engaging them in activities like, balancing, running and walking fast. Songs like "One little finger, one little finger, one little finger, tap tap tap" help them to get an idea about spacial awareness. We are singing this song with the children including the body expressions for them to easily grab the purpose behind. Its fascinating to see the children following the educator's expressions and engaging in the song.
General messages
It is nice to see everything returning to normal after the tough times under Covid-19 situation. We are happy to see our children coming back and the centre filling-up with spirit once again. For safety reasons, please keep your children home if they are unwell and return with a "fit to attend childcare" certificate.
Best regards
