Important return to school information

Dear Families

Following advice from the Chief Health Officer, the Victorian Government and the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria Ltd (CECV), we have been advised that schools can begin a phased return to onsite schooling.

Just a few important reminders before our Prep, 1s and 2s start to head back into classes on Tuesday 26th May;

- please remember which gate you are to drop off your children at (see details below)

- to assist with this process it is important that your child arrives at the correct time

- please remember to keep your distance, it is for your own safety

- do not enter the school grounds for any reason, phone or email the office should you need to be in contact

- please remember the school grounds are unavailable after school and will be locked, until further notice.  This means no after school training for sports teams etc.

To support the health and wellbeing of all students and staff, our school will continue an enhanced cleaning routine and will encourage frequent hand washing.

If your child is ill or is feeling unwell, they must not attend school. They must remain home and seek medical advice.  If we determine they are unwell, you will be contacted to collect them immediately.

FAMILY GROUPINGS ARRIVALS AND SCHOOL SITE ACCESS

  • The children will come to school in Family groupings not in Year groupings, as we thought that this would be the easiest way for you to manage at home.  One drop off time and one pick up time for all the family members.
  • Restrictions on access to the school site for anyone other than immediate school staff and students. Parents are to drop off their child/ren at the gates along Neerim or Grange Roads and not enter school grounds.  A staff member will be at either entry to ensure that this is observed.
  • Families are asked to observe and maintain 1.5mt distance while coming to the school
  • Parents will need to avoid entering school grounds whenever possible (this includes and is not limited to the need to drop off food, and books)
  • Parents will need to plan and adapt to arriving at specific times
