Great to be back!

Hai Semua!

Well, Pak Chatterton, Bu Rumble and I have returned from Indonesia!

We had a great time working with teachers, visiting schools, enjoying cultural performances and catching up with friends at our Sister School, Tunas Unggul. We have organised a number of projects between Tunas Unggul and 2 other schools in Indonesia and can’t wait to share these with you!

We hope you enjoy just a few photos from the trip and Bu Rumble will share some more with you next week in Indonesian lessons!

Sampai Jumpa!

Bu Rumble and I had a wonderful flying trip to Indonesia this last week and a half. We were heartened to see some of the amazing work in schools since last year's workshops, with some schools completely transforming themselves in fewer than 12 months. We are genuinely thrilled now to be able to say we are part of a school network that is focused on improving school environments to prioritise student wellbeing and engagement.

I was also delighted to be able to visit Tunas Unggul, our sister school in Bandung. I was surprised to learn it was the first time the RNPS Principal had visited our long-time friends, so it was an honour to be able to visit the school and maintain our relationship. TU are planning to send another group of students next year, which is always a wonderful experience and a great opportunity for the families who host students in the homestay program. I am also confident now that we have assessed what a potential student trip could look like and that it will be possible in the near future. (Please complete the poll below to help us with this.)

However great the schools we visit though, it is always a delight to walk back into the school grounds and be surrounded by the familiar smiles, laughter and joy of our students.

Help us understand whether you would or would not be interested in your child participating in a school trip to Indonesia.

A quick note of gratitude

I've noticed this year that with the roll out of our Positive Education program there has been an increase in the amount of positive feedback we receive through the year from parents.

Thank you.

It is always wonderful to share with staff the positive experiences of your children and to hear about how you are seeing them grow and develop as a result of something we are doing right. It also helps us to recognise the strengths of our school and staff so we can build on them and not undo good work where it is happening.

Again, we appreciate the thought and time that goes into these short messages and would like you to know the positive impact it has on the staff at RNPS.
