Senior School

In our Classrooms

We have settled into Week 4 with a lot of our focus being directed towards student speeches as part of the Rotary Club  Public Speaking Competition.   Two selected students will be asked to represent Weeden Heights in the coming weeks at Mt Pleasant Primary School.

The Year 5's have had a tremendous year getting to know their Prep buddies.  Their enthusiasm in organising activities with the Preps as well as the genuine care they show towards them has been infectious, which was evident by the cards many Year 5s made for them last week.  There were even some students who bought gifts to celebrate the recent 100 days celebration. This semester we will have two  new buddy monitors. They are Ella Dahlitz and Jazmin Lowrey.

Hoop time and uniforms

Hoop time is coming up on Tuesday August 27. We will require parent volunteers to assist with coaching and scoring.  If you are available to assist, can you please let your child's teacher know.  Many thanks. Also, if there are any inter-school sport uniforms that need to be returned, can they please be sent back to school asap!

Student Diaries

In Senior School, students require a personal diary which they were given at the start of the year.  It is important that students are using their diaries to record their nightly reading, as well as detailing upcoming events. If your child has misplaced their diary, can you please ensure that your child has a new one. Thanks for your assistance in this matter.
