Can You Help?  2019 Twilight Fete – Call For Volunteers

On Friday March 29, Miners Rest Primary School, OHSC and Kinder, will once again be holding our biennial Twilight Fete. This important event unites our school, kindergarten and community.  It also raises money for vital school and kindergarten resources.

I am seeking support from interested families to join with Publicity Sub Committee of the School Council and staff to assist with the organisation of this important event. This will involve meeting together several times over the course of the next few months and allocating tasks to ensure that the 2019 fete is bigger and better than ever before.

If you would like to assist, please contact Liz through the school office as soon as possible so we can begin the planning process.

Year Book News

Just to let families know we will again be having a year book, published at the end of this term.  The cost will be $15.  To assist with printing quantities we need confirmed orders, along with payment by Friday 7th December.  Order forms will be sent home next week.

Also students are being asked to design a front and/or back cover for the year book.  Some students will have the opportunity to complete this in class or students may choose to do this at home.  We are looking for a bright, colourful design with clear writing (title for the front/farewell message for the back) on an A4 piece of paper (portrait format).  Students are to include their name, room number and if the design is for the front or back cover.  Entries need to be handed in to the office by Friday 2nd November.

Any questions see Mrs Riddoch, Room 16.
