Yellow Group Yarns

Monday 15th October

We have been very busy in Yellow Group experimenting with technology.  We have incorporated the iPad's into our indoor learning time with an application called Quiver.  This app allows children to scan their drawings with the iPad and watch as their drawing becomes 3-dimensional.  Recently we have noticed the children have shown an interest in dinosaurs and prehistoric animals.  With the Quiver App children improve their fine motor skills and concentration as they work hard to colour inside the lines. They are then able to watch and hear as their creations come to life on the iPad screen.  This has been an extremely engaging experience for the children and many of them have downloaded this application at home.
